左掌由右臂下方旋轉於右臂的外側zuǒ zhǎng yóu yòu bèi xià fāng xuán zhuǎn yú yòu bèi de wài cè

Your left palm rotates under your right arm and from there to the outside of the arm,

手心貼於右臂。shǒu xīn tiē yú yòu bèi  palm staying close to the arm.

步法視線均不動。bù fǎ shì xiàn jūn bù dòng  Your stance and line of sight are unchanged.

25. {As if} SEALING SHUT (part 2)

全身向後倚,quán shēn xiàng hòu yǐ  Your body shifts back,

左腿變(变)成虚步。zuǒ tuǐ biàn chéng xū bù  your left leg changing to an empty stance,

右拳展開向南引;yòu quán zhǎn kāi xiàng nán yǐn  while your right fist opens and draws to the south,

左掌則向北引。zuǒ zhǎng zé xiàng běi yǐn  your left palm drawing to the north,

左手心與右手背互擦而過,zuǒ shǒu xīn yǔ yòu shǒu bèi hù cā ér guò  your left palm wiping your right hand as they pass each other,

均成陰掌,jūn chéng yīn zhǎng  until they both become passive [inward] palms,

作騈列狀。zuò pián liè zhuàng  parallel with each other.

眼看正東。yǎn kàn zhèng dōng  Your eyes are looking directly to the east.

向前伸出。xiàng qián shēn chū  and extend forward,

右手指尖貼於左腕部。yòu shǒu zhǐ jiān tiē yú zuǒ wàn bù  your right fingertips nearing your left wrist.

眼看正東。yǎn kàn zhèng dōng  Your eyes are looking directly to the east.

二二 進步搬攔捶(二)
22. ADVANCE, PARRY, BLOCK, PUNCH (part 2)

腰向後倚,yāo xiàng hòu yǐ  Your waist shifts back,

全身坐在右腿。quán shēn zuò zài yòu tuǐ  the weight shifting fully onto your right leg,

左腿成虚步。zuǒ tuǐ chéng xū bù  your left leg making an empty stance,

右掌改拳(參看拳圖)yòu zhǎng gǎi quán (cān kàn quán tú) and your right palm becomes a fist (as explained above) {consult the fist picture}

後縮至胯旁,hòu suō zhì kuà páng  while withdrawing to beside your hip,

左手與視線均不動。zuǒ shǒu yǔ shì xiàn jūn bù dòng your left hand staying where it is in your line of sight. {LH and gaze not changing}

左腿變成弓步。zuǒ tuǐ biàn chéng gōng bù Your left leg changes to a bow stance

右拳提起,yòu quán tí qǐ  your right fist lifts

向前挺出。xiàng qián tǐng chū  and sticks out forward,

左掌略向後縮,zuǒ zhǎng luè xiàng hòu suō  your left palm slightly withdrawing

貼近於右前臂的肘彎部。tiē jìn yú yòu qián bèi de zhǒu wān bù  to be near the area just forward of your right elbow. {close to the right forearm, elbow bent}

視線不動。shì xiàn bù dòng  The direction you are looking has not changed.

右手變成陰掌,yòu shǒu biàn chéng yīn zhǎng and your right hand becomes a passive [inward] palm,

指尖貼於左腕部。zhǐ jiān tiē yú zuǒ wàn bù fingertips nearing{close to} your left wrist.

眼看左手背。yǎn kàn zuǒ shǒu bèi  Your eyes are looking toward the back of your left hand

右手下降,yòu shǒu xià jiàng while your right hand lowers,

肘尖貼近右脅。zhǒu jiān tiē jìn yòu xié the elbow nearing your right ribs, {close to your body}

掌心如托物狀。zhǎng xīn rú tuō wù zhuàng the palm appearing to hold something up.

左手與視線均不動。zuǒ shǒu yǔ shì xiàn jūn bù dòng Your left hand and eyes have not moved. {your gaze doesn’t change from the left hand}

13. BRUSH KNEE IN A CROSSED STANCE (part 1)

左脚尖右脚跟同時翹起,zuǒ jiǎo jiān yòu jiǎo gēn tóng shí qiào qǐ  Your left toes and right heel lift in unison,

轉向正東,zhuǎn xiàng zhèng dōng your feet turning to point to the east,

略成虚步。luè chéng xū bù almost making an empty stance.

左臂降下成為垂直線,zuǒ bèi jiàng xià chéng wéi chuí zhí xiàn Your left arm lowers to hang straight down,

手掌翹起。shǒu zhǎng qiào qǐ palm [fingers] lifted,

右手亦向東推出,yòu shǒu yì xiàng dōng tuī chū while your right hand pushes to the east,

成陽掌。chéng yáng zhǎng becoming an active [outward] palm,

左足由虚而實,zuǒ zú yóu xū ér shí your left foot going from empty to full

成弓步。chéng gōng bù  making a bow stance.

同時左臂提起,tóng shí zuǒ bèi tí qǐ  At the same time, your left arm lifts,

成立掌。chéng lì zhǎng the hand becoming an upright palm,

右臂縮囘,yòu bèi suō huí  and your right arm shrinks back,

右手亦成立掌,yòu shǒu yì chéng lì zhǎng  the hand also becoming an upright palm

指尖貼於左腕部。zhǐ jiān tiē yú zuǒ wàn bù  fingertips nearing your left wrist.

眼看正東。yǎn kàn zhèng dōng  Your eyes are looking directly to the east.

右手降下,yòu shǒu jiàng xià  while your right hand lowers,

繞右膝前落於其側,成垂直線 rào yòu xī qián luò yú qí cè ,chéng chuí zhí xiàn

passing in front of your right knee to hang straight down beside it,

指尖翹起。zhǐ jiān qiào qǐ fingertips lifted,

左手提起,zuǒ shǒu tí qǐ and your left hand lifts

向前推出,xiàng qián tuī chū and pushes out forward,

至終點時成陽掌,zhì zhōng diǎn shí chéng yáng zhǎng  becoming an active [outward] palm upon the push reaching its limit,

掌後部向前微挺。zhǎng hòu bù xiàng qián wēi tǐng  the back [center] of the palm slightly urging forward.

左手降下繞左膝前落於其側,成垂直線 zuǒ shǒu jiàng xià rào zuǒ xī qián luò yú qí cè chéng chuí zhí xiàn  while your left hand lowers, passing in front of your left knee to hang straight down beside it,

指尖翹起。zhǐ jiān qiào qǐ  fingertips lifted,

右手提起,向前推出 yòu shǒu tí qǐ  xiàng qián tuī chū  and your right hand lifts and pushes out forward

至終點時成陽掌,zhì zhōng diǎn shí chéng yáng zhǎng becoming an active [outward] palm upon the push reaching its limit,

掌後部向前微挺。zhǎng hòu bù xiàng qián wēi ting the back [center] of the palm slightly urging forward.
